“Janis Ian: Breaking Silence” Acquired By Greenwich Entertainment

Greenwich Entertainment acquired “Janis Ian: Breaking Silence” following our World Premiere at DOC NYC. Before taking our film into the theatres, Janis Ian and I made it a point to make in-person appearances at as many of the film festivals that programmed our film as possible. A big shout-out to Janis Ian for accompanying me on our film tour. And much gratitude to our marvelous audiences who are packing the house afternoon and night. Thank you to tour manager Debra Hyslop and my husband, Patrick Bennett, managing partner at Wild Rose Pictures, as well as our executive producer, Pierre Hauser, for supporting and participating in this incredible film tour. Thank you also to the team at Greenwich Entertainment for arranging an excellent film tour. We had a fantastic time sharing our film and hearing directly from our audiences how it’s inspiring them. It’s been a truly moving experience.

Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the art house theaters that have been screening “Janis Ian: Breaking Silence,” including NYC’s IFC Center, the Rialto in Sebastopol, the Rialto in Elmwood, Landmark’s Opera Plaza Cinema, the Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael, Nashville’s Belcourt Theatre, Los Angeles’ Laemmle Theaters, the AFI Theater in Washington DC, the Jacob Burns Film Center in New Jersey, and all the other heroic theaters who put in the time and effort to draw audiences to the big screen to have a cinema experience like no other.

And, of course, I would like to thank our audiences for showering our film with so much love. ❤

We continue our theatrical run at select theaters across the country. To find out where it’s playing, go to https://www.janisiandocumentary.com/screenings
